We went to Oshkosh, WI last week (08/12/04) because of the international Pathfinder Camporee. My brother and my sister left on Monday with the church's coach. My mom and I left on Thursday morning, at about some 4 AM. I don't know exactly how far it was, I think it was about 1200 miles from Worcester!

We arrived there on Friday at noon!!! Wow, imagine being some 30 hours on the road, but then again we stopped to sleep at 10 PM and woke up at 5 AM. Oh man, I was feeling so wasted. My mom drove the first 200 hundred miles and I drove all the rest. I wanted to get there as early as possible, because it sucks to be on the road, it's so tiring. We visited Niagara Falls, and it was so cool, I had never been there before. People say that the Iguazu Falls are the most monstrous in the world, even bigger than Niagara, I don't know cuz I had never been there either, even though it isn't that far away from Sao Paulo. At a certain time I thought we were going to CANADA, cuz we walked across this bridge and I thought that the other side was Canada, but it was just an island in the middle of the river!!! HEHEHEHEHHE. We got to see the Skylon Tower, it's pretty neat. But it was even funnier to meet all the people half way through the US so far away from home. I don't hang out that much with the people from church, so I just kept wandering around on my own!!!AHUAHUAHAUHAUAH!

There were 30 thousand people camping. Pretty cool!. They have a website with the Pictures from the Camporee, click here to see it I tried to find the picture they took with me on Friday, but I couldn't find it (there are millions of photos) . If you find it, please let me know and leave a message. The picture I was in was taken on Friday, and they've got pics from all of the days.

We left the camping grounds to go back home at about 4 AM on Sunday. Everybody was sleeping and I parked the car in the middle of the tents. It would have been funny if I started sounding the horn and stepping on the gas. LOL. So we drooooooove for such a freaking long time. We arrived in Chicago at 8 central. Man that city is so charming, and well planned out. I saw the Sears Tower and some other cool buildings, and it is true that the Lake looks like the sea ( I thought my teacher was only bragging when she told me that Lake Michigan looked like the ocean). It was cool to be on the same streets in which they shot some cop movies. We passed by the Bulls' stadium and then we left. We didn't get to see that much of Chicago, but it was cool anyways. We'll probably go back there some other day, I think Chicago is even better than NYC, only the traffic in Chicago is a pain.

We got home at 3 AM. I drove all the way from New York (not the city), crossed Connecticut and I got home in Massachusetts. I was so tired I couldn't even see right. I probably looked like a zombie. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. But the trip was very nice. We visited all these states: Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin....
